Anniversary Book Signing Event

Featuring: Local author, Danielle Golden and her book, Purple Butterflies (reviewed in last month’s newsletter.)  Ms. Golden’s books are written for young people, ages 8-12.

 

                                    

Featuring: Popular children’s author, Duane Porter, will be signing his Molly O’Malley books. 

Coffee and cookies will be served in the Reading Room.

Keep your “Witts” about you this summer.  Read just 10 books between June 1 and August 14th for a chance to win prizes !

Each person who reads 10 books, completes their Witty Reader Log, and has a parent/guardian or teacher sign it, will receive a coupon for a free McDonald’s hamburger and will be entered into the drawing for gift cards.(free books from Parkside Books; $25, $15, $10 gift cards from The Witt Team; $20 gift card from Barnes & Noble),  

You may register, in person, at Parkside Books or call Susan Azbill at 816-220-5694. Susan will e-mail, fax, or mail a Witty Reader Log and full participation instructions to you for your child’s use.

Participants in the program can read library books, books you already have, books you borrow, or books you purchase. 

On August 15, at 10:00 a.m., the drawing will be held at Barnes & Noble (39^th St. location) with a special book reading by Cheryl Harness, a local author of children’s books.
