Book Trades – We are a used bookstore with a very low to non-existent budget for purchasing books. We depend on our customers to bring their gently read books to us and we set up Trade Credit accounts for them. With the Trade Credit account our customers can reduce their purchase price for an additional 50% up to the amount of credit that they have on file with us. (excluding specific merchandise and special sale items.) Ask about our trade policy the next time you are in the store.
Customer Orders – Many of our customers come to us looking for specific books. Since our inventory is almost completely acquired through trades with our customers, there are times that specific books won’t be found on our shelves. When that is the case we offer to search the internet for the wanted book, seek out the best price, and order the book for our customer. For a small service fee we do the research, ordering, and dealing with the internet sellers.
Volume Orders – We work with one of the nation’s largest distributors of new books and are prepared to order books at volume discounts for schools and other organizations. We are an approved Vendor for the Blue Springs School district. If you need multiple copies of a book, we hope you will contact us and give us the opportunity to purchase the books for you at discount prices.
Consignments - Some of our customers and associates bring us books and other items that they would like to sell, but either do not have the time or the inclination to deal with finding customers for their items. In these cases, we will take inventory on consignment and offer the items for sale along with our own inventory in the store and on the internet. If and when these items sell we retain a percentage of the sale price.
Teacher / Student Specials – We are offering a buy 3 get 1 free special for school-teachers who purchase books from our shelves. We will also order new or used copies of books that teacher’s plan on having their students use during a semester. With a little advance notice we can have as many copies as necessary on our shelves when the students are ready for them. Give us a call and see how this might work for you.
